Double cross

The Doublecross is an action packed book for a middle school audience. We meet twelve year old Hale Jordan, who is overweight and not the cool kid in his spy school. He can’t pass the physical exam to become a junior agent, while his classmates are passing the test. His nine year old sister, Kennedy, is about to become a junior agent before him. But as we learn in the book, heroes do not always look like heroes. That message alone is something that all middle schoolers can use.

After learning more about the spy organization that Hale is apart of (which is really cool and high tech!), his parents go missing. Using his spy trying, Hale goes on his own mission to find his parents, with his ever so energetic sister to help. In his search for his parents, he finds that things may be a lot different than he thinks, but can he become the spy that he never thought he could be?
